UPDATE

OK, it is Polish (thanks Phoenyx!) but I still don't see where they attribute the work to the artist. I know we put this stuff for "free," but I believe they should give us credit. I don't know. What do you think?
....................................................................................................

Hello fellow stockers. I found a site out there with hundreds of my textures on it, as well as thousands of textures from other deviants. The problem is that I don't know the language, and can't determine what, exactly, they are doing with our art. They are using our titles, but I don't see any mention of us as artists. It appears to be a eastern European language, perhaps Polish or maybe Russian. Take a look here arttown.pl/tekstury-download/i…. If any one could figure out what is going on and let me know, I'd appreciate it.

Chris.

Well,
I can't make much of the website, and cannot get to a proper gallery. Considering how I find it difficult to find my way through their website I can imagine they considered they were safe enough.

Your message made me more aware of the stuff i should or should not upload as stock. I do not want weirdos to use my stuff for unwanted deeds. (that is if they found their way to my gallery, of course)

True. I would have to sign up to see the actual artwork, and I think it's safe to say that I'm not going to do that! Oh well, live and learn.

Yes, I probably can live with the idea that somebody stole (potentially) my stock but I would not like to think that somebody claimed my photos from my main account! (even though I am not hoping to make a career in art)

The idea of some jerk making money from work I did... arrgh! I would put those copyright laws to the test!

Yeah, regardless of where they got it from, they -should- give credit.

I agree. I'll just chalk it up to an ugly truth learned!

Credit where credit's due - I think it's due. Is it claiming the work, or showcasing it? Hmm - don't suppose it matters really - you should get credit either way ^_^

Yeah, we should get credit. I never saw a link back to the accounts, nor did I find a claim of ownership. So... I figured I'd let it go. sigh
